I am honored to have received the 2022 Aberdeen-Edgewood Silver Chapter Scholarship. I would like to express my thankfulness for this scholarship as well as the scholarship committee who dedicated time into helping young students pay for the highest level of education. With the help of this scholarship, I will be attending James Madison University to achieve my degree in Marketing. The Aberdeen-Edgewood Silver Chapter’s commitment to supporting active Chapter member’s families certainly is appreciated and valued.

The son of CW5 (Ret) Fernando Avila Gonzalez. Fernando plans to attend Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, FL. He is planning on majoring in aerospace and occupational safety.
