CW5 Wallace Edwards
President

 

Wally Edwards

     CW5 Wallace P. Edwards Jr. served as the Aberdeen-Edgewood “Silver” Chapter President from 2018-2020. CWO Edwards worked to reenergize the chapter by publishing scheduled monthly meetings and sending out invitations via email to increase awareness and encourage attendance. CWO Edwards is currently serving in the Maryland Army National Guard (MDARNG) Joint Staff Safety Officer position. He was the MDARNG WOCS program Company Commander.

     Before that assignment, CWO Edwards worked his way up the ranks as a 915E. CWO Edwards created the new chapter logo and purchased some swag to sell to allow the chapter to raise funds and offer an annual scholarship award for current active members and their family members. CWO Edwards has also registered the chapter with the Maryland Adopt-a-Highway program to get the chapter active in the local community by cleaning up a 1-mile section of Pulaski Highway, Route 40, Edgewood, Maryland.

     CW5 Wallace P. Edwards Jr. continues to serve on the USAWOA Aberdeen-Edgewood “Silver” Chapter as a valued member providing invaluable wisdom, experience, and stewardship.

CW3 Virshelle Dugger

     CW3 Virshelle E. Dugger became a member of the Warrant Officers Association in 2013 upon completion of Warrant Officer Candidate Course. CW3 Dugger is a Human Resources Technician (420A) and is currently assigned to the Army Test and Evaluations Center, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD, serving as a Military Evaluator.

     In 2013, CW3 Dugger was appointed as the Treasurer of the Acadiana Warrant Officers Chapter, Fort Polk, LA in 2014 until her departure in July 2015. During her tenure as the treasurer, she spearheaded monthly car washes, gift wrapping set ups and other events, culminating enough funds to provide single Soldiers and their families with holiday care packages. From 2015 – 2020, CW3 Dugger was an active member of the Morning Calm USAWOA Chapter and the Fort Hood Silver USAWOA Chapter. She was a proactive member within those chapters and always volunteer to assist the chapter’s committees.

     In October 2020, CW3 Dugger was elected as the Vice President of the Aberdeen-Edgewood Silver Chapter USAWOA. One of her missions as the VP is to recruit and retain fellow warrants in the Maryland area and APG. As the VP, she will provide her great ideas and experiences within the Silver Chapter for raising funds and volunteering within the local community.

CW4 Clinton C. Coonce
Treasurer

CW4 Clinton C. Coonce became a member of the USAWOA in 2006. He is currently assigned to Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC) and Army Evaluation Center (AEC). Clinton works within the Readiness and Analytics Evaluation Directorate (RAED) as a Senior Military Evaluator (948D – Electronic Missile Systems Maintenance Warrant Officer).

CW4 Coonce is a former Chapter President and Vice-President of the Fort Hood “Silver” Chapter and became a USAWOA Life Member in 2019 (#02409L).

In 2020, CW4 Coonce moved to Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland and was appointed the Aberdeen-Edgewood “Silver” Chapter Treasurer in July 2021.

CW4 Coonce is a Samuel Sharpe Award Recipient, Saint Martin Award Recipient and Honorable Order of the Eagle Rising “Silver”, #67. CW4 Coonce is also a member of the 1918 Society.

Clinton has organized and execute multiple Warrant Officer Birthday weeks which brought together Warrant Officers from all COMPOs and retiree’s. These events were able to produce funds which allowed the Chapter to give scholarships to family members of the Chapter and were used to provide food baskets during the Holiday Seasons.

CW4 Coonce has served on Active duty since 01 October 1996. His previous duty assignments include: 313th MI BN, Fort Bragg, NC; 2nd FSB, Camp Hovey, Korea; 426th BSB, Fort Campbell, KY; 10th STB, Fort Drum, NY; 2-43 ADA, Fort Bliss, TX; 215th BSB, Fort Hood, TX; 407th BSB, Fort Bragg, NC; 70th BSB, Camp Casey, Korea and 13th ESC, Fort Hood, TX.

He has also been deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan twice each.

CW4 Coonce continues to serve the USAWOA Aberdeen-Edgewood “Silver” Chapter as a valued member providing invaluable wisdom, experience, and stewardship.
